The BC01 was given a glowing endorsement by British Clarinettist David Campbell see it in our customer reviews page.

The BC01 is a robust, affordable bass which has many professional features. . The bass goes down to ‘low-C’ and has a beautiful, rich, resonant tone. All notes are clear and unstuffy, pad clearances and seals having been tested and set up by me . The high register sings out with ease unlike many competitors basses that sound stuffy and muted. It has a very efficient light action ‘low-D’ mechanism and a special feature of long rod guides to prevent any unwanted movement. In addition to having an ease of production that is very pleasing it also has excellent tuning and each note has been checked and adjusted by me Les Craven. Our basses are more in tune than many famous brands costing thousands more.

It now features an advanced roller system for the lowest 3 semitones controlled by the right hand thumb. I designed this in conjunction with the team at the factory. I think it is a mechanism that is simple to understand, easy to operate and is ergonomically sound.

It comes in a very good case with backpack-style straps. and a side pocket for music etc It will not crack or warp in extreme climates and is suitable for use in or outdoors.

These basses are used by professionals as well as keen amateurs and are robust enough for use in schools and colleges. Two famous Schools ; Westminster and Blundells use our basses and report they have fared very well indeed with no problems after several years wear.
